Wheeler County High School Literary Team Competes at Region Literary Meet

The Wheeler County High School Literary Team competed at the Division II-A, Region 4 Literary Meet in McRae on March 8, 2025. The team represented Wheeler County Schools very well as the members placed in six different competitions.

Ariana Durden placed first in Literary Analysis, Roxanne Evans placed first in Humorous Literary Interpretation, and Jakob Tarpley placed first in Boys Solo. Each of these students advanced to the GHSA State Literary Meet in Milledgeville to be held on March 22.

Congratulations also to the following students for their strong performance at the Region Literary Meet: Chelsie Gruber (Argumentative Essay), Annmarie Adams (Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking), and Alyssia Weeks (Personal Essay). The WCHS Team had a third-place team finish.
