Zamorano Signs With Point

On Thursday, March 13, Toombs County senior Maritza Zamorano officially signed to continue her soccer career at Point University. A four-year starter for the Lady Bulldogs, Zamorano is excited about the opportunity to compete at the next level.

“Maritza has been up to visit Point University and had a chance to meet with Coach Douglas,” said Head Coach Jeremy Moore. “She loved the campus and instantly connected with the girls on the team. When Coach Douglas offered her a spot, she committed the next day.”

Coach Moore praised Zamorano’s dedication and work ethic throughout her high school career. “I am so proud of how Maritza has worked to get to this point, and she is extremely deserving of this amazing opportunity. I have no doubt she will arrive there in the fall and be a great asset to the women’s soccer program at Point University.”
