At the recent State Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Leadership Conference, Toombs County High School Teacher Jessica Jones was recognized for her outstanding contributions to Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), receiving the prestigious Region 2 FBLA Adviser of the Year Terry Smith Award.
In just two years as an FBLA Adviser, Jones has already made an impact, leading her students to remarkable achievements on both the state and national levels. Under her guidance, the Toombs County FBLA chapter has seen tremendous growth and success. Two of her students have advanced to the national FBLA competition, a testament to her dedication and commitment to student excellence. Last year, the chapter was recognized as a Silver Champion Chapter, and this year, they are on track to achieve Gold Champion Chapter status.
Before joining the faculty at Toombs County High School, Jones taught 4th grade reading at Lyons Upper Elementary School. Though her teaching focus has shifted to business education, her passion for helping students discover their interests remains unchanged. 'What I love most about my job is helping students find their passion,' Jones shared. 'Learning about business is an integral part of students' lives, and seeing them succeed is incredibly rewarding.'
Jones' recognition as Region 2 FBLA Adviser of the Year emphasizes her commitment to shaping the future of young business leaders.
