TCHS Soccer Wins Over Dodge
The Toombs County High School soccer teams were in action last week with the Lady Bulldogs falling to St. Vincent's, and then losing to Dodge County in a shootout. The boys picked up a win over the Indians of Dodge.
Girls vs. St. Viincent's
It was a tough game for the Lady Bulldogs against the Saints. St. Vincent's pulled away to a 9-2 win over TCHS.
Girls vs. Dodge
It was a tight game between the TCHS girls and the Lady Indians of Dodge. Toombs picked up a goal in the first half of the game and then added another one in the second half. But Dodge scored twice in the second half to tie the game at 2-2 at the end of regulation.
That sent the game to a shootout to decide a winner. Dodge scored twice with TCHS making just one goal as the Indians took the win.
Scoring goals for Toombs were Rayne Sears and Emerson Powell.
Boys vs. Dodge
The boys rolled to a win over Dodge. Angel Morales led the way with two goals for the Bulldogs along with an assist. Toombs scored twice in the first half of the game and added three more goals in the second half as they took a 5-0 win over Dodge.
Also scoring goals for the Bulldogs were Juan Luna, Osvaldo Tinoco, and Daniel Santoyo. Alejandro Tinoco added two assists.
This week Toombs was at Woodville-Tompkins on Tuesday after presstime. They will not play against until next week.
