MCHS Dominates Twiggs Co.
It was all Eagles last week as Montgomery County High School faced off with Twiggs County. MCHS run ruled the Cobras in both games they played.
Game 1
The first game was on Tuesday in Mt. Vernon. MCHS jumped out with eight runs in the bottom of the first inning. Big hits from Ramsey Jordan, Fletcher Thomas, Jay Harris and Luke Burns contributed to the Eagles big lead. MCHS scored one more run in the second inning on a ball hit by Jordan, and scored one in the third inning on another RBI single by Jordan. The Eagles closed out the game in the fourth inning with three more runs to win the game, 15-0.
Game 2
The second game was on Thursday in Jeffersonville. It was another run away win for MCHS. MCHS took the early lead with six runs in the top of the first inning off of hits by Luke Burns, Matthew Harvery, Kadan Williamson, and Jay Harris.
The Eagles pushed the lead to 13-0 in the second inning, and eight more in the top of the third on the way to a 21-0 win.
MCHS is now 2-14 on the year and they are 1-8 in Region play. This week the Eagles are off for spring break and will play Wheeler County next week.
