Help Available For Ag Workers & Families
mrandolphadvance@gmail.com
Southeast Non-Profit Housing is working to help individuals that work in agriculture to learn new skills and gain long-term financial stability with their new program.
The organization was established in 2006 to ensure agricultural workers had access to decent, safe, and affordable housing, but has since shifted their focus to empowering farm workers through comprehensive career and workforce services, such as technical school tuition assistance for programs, such as welding, medical assistance, phlebotomy, fork lift operation, or commercial driving.
Agricultural workers’ children who desire to attend college may also get financial assistance with tuition, books, fuel costs, tools, and uniforms.
Workers must have worked in the agricultural industry within the past 24 months to be eligible for this aid. For more information, call (912) 245-6123 or visit the organization’s office within the Greater Vidalia Center for Rural Entrepreneurship, located at 208 East 1st Street in Vidalia.
