Lyons Community Heart & Soul will host the city’s first ever “Hoppy Day” community Easter celebration from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the 304 Society Garden, located at 111 N. Washington St., on Saturday, April 12.

This event will feature several kids’ activities – such as sack races, egg races, bracelet making, prizes, an Easter egg hunt, and a visit from the Easter bunnies. Free food will be available, and live music will be performed for all to enjoy.

The Hoppy Day celebration is just one way in which the Lyons Community Heart & Soul volunteers are working to gather information to help improve the community. These volunteers are working to gather data and surveys from the community to learn what citizens enjoy most about Lyons and what they would like to see in the future to help devise a plan to present to the City Council and, ultimately, help guide progress within the area.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call (912) 526-6445.
