The Paul Anderson Youth Home (PAYH), a leading Georgia program dedicated to transforming the lives of young men facing behavioral challenges, will hold its 32nd Annual Golf Classic on Monday, May 5, at The River Golf Club. The event, sponsored by Publix Super Markets Charities, aims to blend community engagement and philanthropy to support PAYH's vital mission.
The Golf Classic will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the River Golf Club, 307 Riverside Boulevard, North Augusta, S.C., 29841. Registration opens at 8:45 a.m., with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Over its 32-year history, the Paul Anderson Golf Classic has raised more than $7 million, providing crucial funding for PAYH's Christian residential program and oncampus school for young men ages 16-21 struggling with behavioral problems, discipline issues, anger, and depression.
'This golf tournament is a powerful testament to the community's commitment to our young men,' said Glenda Anderson Leonard, PAYH co-founder. 'The funds raised directly fuel our ability to provide hope and brighter futures for those in need.'
The River Golf Club, an award-winning Jim Fazio-designed course consistently ranked among the Southeast's best, offers participants a challenging and scenic experience with panoramic views of the Savannah River.
The day will include breakfast, lunch, and snacks, culminating in an awards ceremony following the competition.
'We are deeply grateful for the continued support of our sponsors, especially Publix Super Markets Charities, whose unwavering generosity has been instrumental to the success of every Golf Classic,' Anderson Leonard added.
