Arts and Crafts Festival Continues to Grow
With over 110 vendors, two days of musical entertainment and lots of food, the 2025 Arts and Crafts Show at the 48th annual Vidalia Onion Festival continues to grow and reach new heights.
Sponsored by the Vidalia Lions Club, the show will be located beneath the pines on Airport Road off of Highway 280 on Saturday, April 26, and Sunday, April 27.
Vendors will be offering a wide range of products, including glassware, candy, custom leather goods, fishing lures, cloth dolls, clothing, wooden toys, pet items, pottery, candles, soaps, live plants and more.
Of course, the Lions Club will be on site selling bags of Vidalia’s trademark sweet onions, and Yumion, the festival mascot, will be making an appearance during the show.
Onion Eating Contest
A competition to determine who can eat the most Vidalia sweet onions in one sitting will be held inside the Arts and Crafts Show venue at the back stage pavilion on Saturday at 4 p.m. Registration for the event will take place at the back stage pavilion until 3:30 p.m. Age categories are: 1-11, 12-16, and 17 and up. Prizes will be awarded to winners in each category.
Food
Hungry patrons can also get a taste of several fan-favorites, including barbecue, snow-cones, and more.
Tickets Show hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are available at the gate and proceeds benefit Vidalia Lions Club projects and charities. Admission is $5 for everyone over the age 13; everyone younger than 13 years old is free.
