Eagles Drop 2 To Falcons

The Montgomery County High School Eagles baseball team wrapped up their season last week with a double header against East Laurens. MCHS dropped both games to the Falcons to finish the season with a record of 4-19, and they were 2-10 in Region play.

Game 1

East Laurens had one big inning in the first game of the double header on the way to the win. They scored six runs in the bottom of the third inning to take a big lead. MCHS picked up their only run of the game in the top of the fourth inning.

The Falcons added one more run in the sixth inning on the way to a 7-1 win over the Eagles.

Game 2

MCHS played better in the second game of the day, but they still fell to the Falcons. MCHS picked up the first run of the game in the top of the second inning, and then increased their lead to 4-0 in the top of the fourth inning. East Laurens plated a run in the bottom of the fourth, but the Eagles answered in the top of the fifth inning with four more runs to push their lead to 8-1, But in the bottom of the fifth inning, the wheels fell off for MCHS, as the Falcons scored nine runs to take a 10-8 lead. East Laurens added five more in the sixth inning on the way to a 15-8 win.

MCHS was led by Eric White and Matthew Harvery, who each drove in two runs.
