Oxford of Lyons recently invested in the future of the community, as the company donated $10,000 to the Southeastern Early Career and College Academy (SECCA).

This donation came as a joint effort of the Oxford Foundation’s mission to enhance the quality of life in the business community through its support of human services, cultural, educational and health-related organizations and the company’s educational support initiative. This funding will be used to continue to provide student activities and programs at the career academy.

SECCA Chief Executive Officer John Sharpe commented on this donation. 'We have been so fortunate to be the recipient of generous donations from Oxford over the last few years. We value the partnership between Oxford and our career academy. SECCA is committed to getting students ready for real-world challenges,' he emphasized.

SECCA is a local college and career academy that serves students from Montgomery County High School, Toombs County High School, Treutlen County High School, and Vidalia High School. This facility allows students to begin learning about potential future careers, offering courses in Army JROTC, Cosmetology, General Automotive Technology, Energy Pathway, Healthcare Pathway, Teaching as a Profession, and Unmanned Aircraft Systems. Students may also participate in workbased learning and Georgia FLEX entrepreneurship programs through the facility.
