Team Vidalia Competes In Athens
Twenty-five gymnasts of Vidalia Gymnastics & Cheer’s Team Vidalia competitive gymnastics team spent their Valentine's Day in Athens competing in their first meet of the 2021 season. The 2021 Made-In-The-USA Invitational is an annual competition held at The Classic Center and was born from a passion to help military families.
The event gives athletes not only an opportunity to compete, share, learn and grow in their sport but also raises awareness and benefits two fantastic organizations, The Wounded Warrior Project and The Fisher House. These two wonderful causes are dedicated to supporting those who give and sacrifice so much for our very way of life and our liberty.

110.95; AAU Level 2 placed fourth with a team of five scoring 107.725; AAU Level 3 was unable to compete in the team division with only two competitors; and Team Vidalia’s AAU Level 4 Team brought home the first place banner with a score of 109.60.
“We are so proud of our gymnasts,” said team coach, Courtney Allen. She added, “Our girls have trained without knowing if they would be able to compete, so seeing them out there enjoying their hard work paying off means everything to us coaches.” Gym owner, Robin Nance stated, “It was a risk to move almost our entire team up a level from last year’s cut-short season knowing they had missed out on gaining competition experience, but these kiddos showed they were up for the challenge and made us proud.”
The gymnasts of Team Vidalia will continue to train and compete in several other competitions throughout the state, qualifying and preparing for the upcoming Georgia AAU State Championship and Nationals.
