Mr. Joel Wayne Ward, age 67, of Vidalia, died on March 16, 2021, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah after a brief illness.

Mr. Ward was a native of Vidalia, where he lived for most of his life. He was a contractor by trade and was the owner of Ward’s Home Improvement. He was a graduate of Vidalia High School and was Baptist by faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Homer Ward and Hilda Mae Edge Ward.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Charmaine Brice Ward; 1 daughter, Lindsey Ward; 1 grandson, Hayden Ward; 1 son, Jason Ward, of South Carolina; 2 brothers, Johnny Ward and wife Danis, and Harris Ward; 1 sister, Jan Frost, all of Vidalia; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation and Celebration of Life Service were held at the funeral home on Friday morning, March 19, 2021, at 9:30, with Maggie Brice Snell officiating.
