TCHS Track Heading To State

The Toombs County High School track and field team will be sending eight athletes to the GHSA State AA Track and Field Meet, which will be held Thursday through Saturday of this week at McEachern High School in Powder Springs.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Mikenna Salem, who qualified for the State Meet in both shot put and in discus. She threw 110'1” in discus and 31'9” in shot put. Amya Bullard also will go in discus with a Sectional throw of 87'7”. KK Mobley will head to state to compete in the high jump after a jump of 4'10”, and Arlie Gooden will go for the 400m dash with a time of 1:05.46.

For the boys, Adam Patrick will compete in the discus and threw 120'2” at Sectionals, and Gage Herndon will head to State in the 400m dash with a time of 52.57 at Sectionals.
