SAINT PAUL AME CHURCH VIDALIA CELEBRATES WOMEN’S DAY 2021
On Sunday, August 22, 2021, at 10:00 AM Saint Paul AME Church located at 304 Martin Luther King Jr., Avenue, Vidalia, Georgia will celebrate Women’s Day 2021. Pastor Ronald Miller invites all to join the church as it recognizes and honor the role of women. The speaker for this celebratory occasion is Mrs. Rachelle Reddick. Mrs. Reddick, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, is the daughter of Dr. Ruth Glover and Mr. Howard Glover and is married to Mr. James Reddick and is the mother of James GregoryandValeria. She is a graduated of Morris Brown College, Atlanta Georgia with a degree in Biology. For forty-one years, Mrs. Reddick has been employed at the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant in Baxley, Georgia. For the past 26 years, she has been in leadership positions at the company in Emergency Preparedness and Training. Most recently, she served as the Acting Regulatory Affairs Manager.
Mrs. Reddick, a fifth generation member of the AME Church, is a longtime member of St. Paul AME Church Vidalia. She is a member of St. Paul’s Board of Steward and is the church’s Financial Secretary.
She is an active member of the Sixth Episcopal District of the AME Church Women’s Missionary Society and has served in many elected and appointed district, area and local positions with the missionary society. She is also a trustee of the Georgia Conference and the Administrative Assistant to the Presiding Elder of the Savanah South district.
Mrs. Reddick is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Phi Delta Omega Chapter, having served in various capacities including Chapter President. She is current the Chapter’s Financial Secretary and the Co-Chair of the Planning Committee for the Georgia AKA Day at theCapitol. Mrs.Reddick is also the 2nd Vice President of the Toombs County Branch of the NAACP and chair of its Social Action Committee.
