Greater Vidalia Chamber’s 2021 Business Expo Draws Big Crowd

The Greater Vidalia Chamber’s 2021 Business Expo drew a record-setting crowd with over 80 booths and 460 plus attendees. The event was held in the Vidalia Community Center on Thursday, October 14, from 4 until 7 p.m.

Dana Brown, Director of Member Services, said Chamber officials were thrilled with the turnout and because of the response to this year’s event, the Chamber is considering expanding the Expo venue next year.

Businesses ranging from medical offices and banks to restaurants, gyms, and community services set up booths offering information and giveaways. Expo goers got to sample some delicious treats provided by caterers and to enter drawings staged at several booths. The purpose of the annual event, which has been held since 2010, is to offer local businesses a chance to put their best foot forward in showcasing their products and services. The Expo, one of the few Chamber events open to the public, also gives local commercial enterprises a prime opportunity to network with other businesses and the public, Brown said.

One of the highlights of the Expo was the awarding of $950 in community bucks to Anne Chase. She was among those who visited booths at the Expo and had a card punched at each site to enter in a drawing. Over 70 businesses participated in the punch card drawing, and Chase will be able to spend her community bucks at the local businesses of her choice.

Presenting Sponsor for the event was Paul Thigpen Chevrolet- Buick-GMC, and Gold Sponsors were Agape Care Group and Community Hospice.
