VHA Eagles Over DEA
Vidalia Heritage Academy's Eagles football team rolled over David Emanuel Academy last Friday night in Stillmore. VHA had a balanced attack with 223 yards of passing and 182 yards of rushing in the game as they took a 42-16 win.
Heritage picked up a touchdown in the first quarter on a 15-yard pass play. They added to that total in the second with a touchdown on a 24-yard run, and capped off a drive with a 4-yard touchdown pass later in the quarter as they had 18 points heading to halftime.
In the second half the Eagles scored four more times. In the third they added touchdowns on a 5-yard run, and two in the passing game on plays of 45 yards, and 30 yards.
The final score of the game came in the fourth quarter on a 29-yard pass play. That gave the Eagles the win, 42-16 over DEA.
This is the final week of the regular season for the Eagles. They will host Grace Christian Academy on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. in a Region contest. The Eagles are 6-1 on the year while Grace comes into the game 6-2.
