Mr. Jimmy W. Kirby, Sr., ….

Mr. Jimmy W. Kirby, Sr., age 77, of Oak Park, died on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after a brief battle with Covid. Mr. Kirby was a native of Oak Park, living there most of his life and in Florida for 20 years. He was self-employed as an HVAC technician. He was preceded in death by his father, Hiram “Dick” Kirby, and mother, Leona Bryson Lott; 1 granddaughter, Brittany Kirby; and 2 sisters, Carol Kirby and Louise Kirby Beecher.

His family includes his wife, Sandy Kirby of Oak Park; 3 children, Deana Steinbach of Belleview, FL, Jimmy Kirby of Oak Park, and Leah Kirby of Ocala, FL; 2 sisters, Patsy Kirby Fowler and Connie Kirby Phillips, both of Oak Park; 8 grandchildren; 5 greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home, with Pastor Gaynor Ridgdill officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
