Mr. Scott Daniels

Mr. Waylon “Scott” Daniels, age 40, of Adrian, died on Saturday, December 25, 2021, at the Grand Strand Medical Center in

Myrtle Beach, SC. Mr. Daniels was a lifelong resident of Laurens County and the Adrian area. He was a graduate of East Laurens High School, where he played football. He worked as a carpenter with his father, who was the founder and owner of Daniels Construction Company. He recently took over much of the operation and daily responsibilities. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Steve

Ussery, Dale Daniels and

Gene Ussery. Survivors include his longtime companion, Shantal Smith, Adrian; his parents, Ray and Beulah Daniels, Adrian; his children, Kassidy Daniels, East Dublin, Payton Daniels, East Dublin, and Catlyn Smith, Adrian; 2 brothers, Douglas Ussery, East Dublin, and Billy Ray Daniels, Dublin; 1 granddaughter, Paisley Morales; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home, with Lee Shivers officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Springs Cemetery, East Dublin. His family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service. Sammons Funeral Home in Soperton is in charge of arrangements.
