Toombs Development Authority Welcomes Two New Members

ber Harry Moses. Trent Williams was named to fill the City of Lyons position vacated by retiring board member John Robison. This will be Williams’ second term on the Authority.
The Toombs County Development Authority Board Members for 2022 are Chair, Dr. Garrett Wilcox; Vice Chair, Chris Hopkins; Secretary, Brian Bishop; Assistant Secretary, Trent Williams; Treasurer, Tim Truxel; Assistant Treasurer, Andy Kimbell; and member, Reid Threlkeld. The Authority recognized outgoing board members Harry Moses and John Robison at the regular monthly meeting on January 20. Wilcox presented Moses and Robison with service awards and the Authority extended its best wishes and heartfelt thanks to the departing members for their dedicated service as members from to 2017 until 2021. The Toombs County Development Authority is a government- appointed body of professional business people dedicated to promoting economic and industrial growth and prosperity in Toombs County.
The purpose of the Authority is to develop, promote, and expand for the public good and general welfare, industry, agriculture, commerce, natural resources, and vocational training and the making of long-range plans for coordination of such development, promotion, and expansion within the territorial limits of Toombs County.
The Toombs County Development Authority is comprised of seven members appointed by the Toombs County Commission to serve five-year terms. Michele Johnson serves as Executive Director for the Authority.
