Mr. John B. “Jack” Armstrong, 79, died on Thursday, February 24, 2022. Mr. Armstrong was born in Baltimore, MD, and moved to Clarks Summit, PA, at a young age. He was a decorated gunship helicopter pilot and Vietnam veteran and was awarded multi-air medals and the Purple Heart. He was the Vice President of Rollinson Electrical Contractors until retirement in 1993. Following, he served as the Chief Electrical Inspector for the City of Savannah until 2009. He was on the board of directors of Nscale Enthusiast Model Train organization; a member of the Savannah Yacht club; and an alumnus of Valley Forge Military College and Alfred University of Alfred, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents, John N. Armstrong and Ruth M. Armstrong.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Carter Armstrong of Savannah; his sister, Lindsay Armstrong McCoy of Largo, FL; several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Hugh Carter (Betty) of Brunswick, Billy Carter, and Curtis Carter of Lyons.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Lee officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Hardens Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning, March 3, from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m.
