Two Wins For Bulldogs

The Toombs County High School baseball team played three games last week as they faced off with Coffee County, Screven County and Emanuel County Institute. The Bulldogs won two of three games.

vs. Coffee

The only loss of the week for the Bulldogs was against the Trojans of Coffee County in Douglas.

Coffee took the lead in the bottom of the third inning with three runs. Toombs picked up one in the top of the fourth, but the Trojans answered in the bottom of the frame with five runs. Toombs added a run in the fifth and two more in the seventh, but one from Coffee in the sixth, and they took the win, 9- 4.

vs. Screven

It was a close game for the Bulldogs as they faced off with the Gamecocks. Toombs got the win over Screven by the score of 3-1.

vs. ECI

It was another win for the Bulldogs as they defeated ECI 10-7. This week Toombs was at Tattnall County on Tuesday after presstime. They will be at Appling County on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
