Quotes for our Times:
'You can lead a man to the presidency, but you can't make him think.'
Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) Matt Vespa, Senior Editor at Townhall.com: Is it real now? Here's how the baby formula crisis has hit one Biden cabinet secretary.
Well, Petey, I don’t know what to tell you. Your boss is incompetent. He has oatmeal for brains. While he could have devoted the last six months trying to figure out how he’ll solve the myriad of domestic fiascos engulfing the country, he decided to waste that on coming up with a snarky swipe at the GOP. He spent six months coming up with “ultra MAGA” which is not a pejorative term, Joe. You failed once again at a simple task because it’s a badass name that we’ve all adopted with pride. If being “Ultra MAGA” means being diametrically opposed to everything you stand for and have done, then count me as a proud member. Simply put, being “Ultra MAGA” means you don’t want someone with dementia running the country.
Leah Barkoukis, online features editor at Townhall.com: Children are now getting hospitalized over formula shortage.
“This is not every child, not normal children, but literally the formula recall has led to these children requiring hospitalization,” [Dr. Mark] Corkins, [a pediatric gastroenterologist at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital] said of the children, both of whom have intestinal conditions.
Their bodies could not handle switching to a different formula than the specialty one they typically use, Corkins said. They’re being treated “with IV fluids and nutrition until formula becomes available,” according to Fox 8 Live.
Marc Siegel, M.D., Clinical Professor of Medicine and a practicing internist at NYU Langone Medical Center: Baby formula shortage is a public health crisis.
Our babies are the future of this country. According to the CDC, though 85% of women breastfeed, at the same time close to two-thirds of infants require formula at some point over the first six months of life. An essential role of government is to make sure that they have it.
Greg Gutfeld, host of Gutfeld! and cohost of The Five: The parodies we've created are now real.
Anyway, apparently school administrators charged three eighth-graders from the Kiel Middle School with sexual harassment after an incident in April where these kids refused to use 'they' to refer to a classmate who'd switched pronouns a month before the so-called incident.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The only time you should refer to one person as 'they' is if they are over 400 pounds, as in they love pancakes, or they are blocking the fire exit. …
One thing is for sure, just because it sounds absurd doesn't make it false. In today's world, it's the absurd that is now the norm. No wonder parents are pissed, but don't wonder aloud, or Merrick Garland will investigate you with the Patriot Act.
