4th Annual
Bible Reading
The 4th Annual Georgia Bible Reading will be held at the Toombs County Courthouse on Thursday, July 14, at 7:14 a.m. All 159 counties will read the Word of God from their courthouse grounds.
Participants will read a passage from the Book of Job that will take less than an hour. For information, contact Vicki Tillery at 912-293-2381.
Toombs Back to
School Bash
The Toombs County Back to School Bash will be held Saturday, July 30, 9-11 a.m., at Southeastern Technical College. First come, first served. Students must check in to receive a book bag, school supplies, and a raffle ticket number.

Lunches
Happy Helpings, Georgia’s Summer Food Service Program, is underway at First African Missionary Baptist Church in Lyons. Now through July 29, meals will be served from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. to all children up to 18 years of age. For more information, call 912-538-8899.
Treutlen Back
To School Bash
Tri-County Family Connection is hosting a “Back to School Bash” for Treutlen County High School students on Saturday, July 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Treutlen County High School Gym. Free school supplies will be given away.
