Lady Eagles 2-2 On Year

The Lady Eagles softball team of Montgomery County High School took on Atkinson County on Tuesday in Pearson and then hosted the Irish of Dublin on Thursday. MCHS split those games, picking up a win over Atkinson.

Vs. Atkinson MCHS rolled to a win over the Rebels. The Eagles plated 12 runs in the top of the first inning to take control of the game. They added one more in the second and three in the third inning to hold a 16-0 lead.

Atkinson did manage to get a run across in the bottom of the third, but it was not enough to keep the game alive as MCHS won by the run rule, 16-1.

MCHS was led by Marley Bell with 4 RBI’s.

Vs. Dublin The Eagles were not so fortunate against the Irish of Dublin at home on Thursday. MCHS fell behind and was not able to get the bats going. Dublin took the win, 8-0 over MCHS. This week MCHS hosted Wheeler County on Tuesday after presstime. They will be at Treutlen on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
