Toombs County Schools Focus on Connection

As a part of the 7 Mindsets Program, which focuses on helping students grow not only academically, but also socially and emotionally, the Toombs County School System is focusing on “connection” as its October mindset.
The “We Are Connected” Mindset focuses on interpersonal relationships to teach students the importance of working with, for, and through others. This curriculum encourages students to constantly seek the positives in relationships with others not only to help accomplish their dreams, but also to improve performance in every area of their lives.
During this mindset module, students explore synergies with others, embrace diversity, and relish the competition that will allow them to maximize their potential by working with and through others. The four critical components this portion of the curriculum stresses are: Embrace Everyone, Maximize Positive Relationships, Build Your Dream Team, and Lead With Value.
