Classic Cars to Be on Display at Partin Park
Classic cars will be on display as part of the annual Real Squeal BBQ Festival in Lyons this weekend. Friday afternoon will roar in with car enthusiasts cruising into the festivities in their classic cars for display, admiration and conversation. Many of these cars will also be on view at Partin Park on Saturday when the competition continues with a Squealin’ Open Car Show. After the car show awards at 2 p.m. on Saturday, the vehicles will parade around the park as they exit.
Gates open on Saturday at 9 a.m. at Partin Park. Not allowed in any of the events areas are alcohol, coolers, dogs (except certi. ed service
dogs), nor ATV/motorized vehicles. Handicapped parking is available inside the park gates.
Happening all day throughout the park will be the Cruise-in Car Show, . ne
arts and crafts for display and for purchase, an Indian artifact display, including . int knappers demonstra- tions, kids creative play, a soccer tournament, and the Dynamo Dog Show – World Class Canine entertainment.
Admission to the downtown events and to Partin Park is free. Some vendors’ activities may require a fee. Parking in town and around the park is free, and handicapped parking is available. Personal golf carts will not be allowed downtown or in Partin Park; however, festival volunteers will operate golf carts as shuttles from the parking area to Partin Park on Saturday.
