The Toombs County High School golf team competed in the 2023 GHSA State Championship Tournament on Monday and Tuesday of last week. The tournament was held at Okefenokee Country Club in Waycross.

Due to the rain, the 36 hole tournament was shortened to 18 holes over the two days. The bulldogs placed 8th in their first State appearance in decades with a score of 364. The team was led by freshman Vick Moore with a score of 89.
