SWIFT WATER - The Toombs County Fire Department worked diligently to rescue former Toombs County Commission Chairman James Thompson from the swift water on John Wilkes Road on November 8.
HELPING THEIR DOT FAMILY - Employees from Dot Foods Distribution Centers around the nation worked to give supplies and aid to employees of the Vidalia Dot Foods Distribution Center who experienced Hurricane Helene.

VACCINATING PETS - Several animal rescues and the city of Mount Vernon worked together to host a free dog and cat vaccine clinic on Saturday, November 16, to ensure all animals have the vaccines they need to remain healthy and refrain from spreading disease.
