Wheeler Falls To Bryan

The Wheeler County High School Lady Bulldogs softball team kicked off their season on Friday of last week against the Redskins of Bryan County. It was a tougher opener for Wheeler as they dropped the game to Bryan.

Wheeler jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning and held that until the third. In the bottom of the third Bryan scored three runs to go ahead 3-2. Wheeler tied the game in the top of the fourth inning at 3-3, but Bryan answered in the bottom of the frame with a run to lead 4-3.

Bryan then plated five more runs in the sixth inning on the way to a 9-4 win over Wheeler.

This week the Lady Bulldogs took on Telfair County on Tuesday after presstime. They will be back in action on Wednesday at Robert Toombs Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. and then they will play a double header against Dooly County at home on Thursday starting at 4:30 p.m.
