In an exciting endeavor to nurture leadership and community service skills, the Toombs County High School (TCHS) FCCLA Chapter’s Officer Team recently attended the Georgia FCCLA DISCOVER training held at Camp John Hope in Fort Valley on September 14, 2023. DISCOVER training has equipped our officer team with the skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm needed to tackle the challenges and opportunities for the upcoming school year.
Formerly known as the FHA (Future Homemakers of America), FCCLA (Family, Career, & Community Leaders of America) has evolved into a dynamic organization that focuses on empowering young leaders to make a positive impact on their schools and communities. Toombs County High School FCCLA is now gearing up for an exciting year with 36 affiliated members, all eager to embark on a journey of service and leadership. Their theme for the year, 'Launching towards Excellence: The Ultimate Journey in FCCLA,' embodies their commitment to striving for excellence in all their endeavors. With their chapter's vision centered on 'Leaving Your Legacy,' they are set to create a lasting impact on their community and beyond.
Throughout the year, Toombs County High School FCCLA plans to engage in a wide range of community service projects, leadership development activities, and initiatives aimed at making a positive difference in the lives of those they serve. As they embark on this journey towards excellence, the chapter is excited not only about what they will achieve but also about the lasting legacy they will leave for future generations of FCCLA members.
