The Ohoopee Regional Library System has added to its variety of resources available to the public by adding the new Kanopy Streaming Service.
Kanopy is owned by the same company which owns the Libby app, a resource already provided by the library system. Patrons can sign into Kanopy using their PINES username and password, meaning that anyone with a PINES card in good standing can stream thousands of videos for free.
The Kanopy app can be downloaded on iPhone and Android phone. In addition, you can stream on Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, most tablets, and Chromecast. From your device you can stream British TV shows and movies, thrilling mysteries and police procedures, family-friendly movies, and fan favorites. Fans of Classic Movies will find hours of movies to choose from in the convenience of their home.
As an added bonus, we have Kanopy Kids, which is a safe, educational, and parent-trusted streaming platform with children at the center of our programming. Packed with over 2,000 titles, ranging from beloved characters — like Paddington Bear, Madeline, Blippi, Sesame Street and PBS Kids — to read-along story books by Vooks, Highlights, and Signed Stories.
The service has does not have limits on the time which content may be accessed. Visit each device’s app store to download the Kanopy app.
The Ohoopee Regional Library Systems serves the citizens of Jeff Davis, Montgomery, Tattnall, and Toombs Counties. Contact your local branch for more information.
