Pastor Appreciation—
Cedar Crossing Baptist Church will celebrate Pastor Appreciation on Sunday, October 8, at 10:30 a.m. Michael Combs will bring the message. A covered dish dinner on the grounds will follow. There will be no Sunday School. Evening worship at 6:00 p.m.

Municipal Election Candidate Forum—
The Toombs County Republican Party is sponsoring a Municipal Election Candidate Forum for the cities of Vidalia and Lyons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10, at Southeastern Technical College. During this time, candidates will be able to answer questions and address the public on their platforms for various topics.
Choir Anniversary—
Better Together Christian Community Church, 202 Church St., Mt. Vernon, will celebrate the anniversary of their choir on Saturday, October 7, at 3:00 p.m. There will be several guest choirs.

Monthly Meeting—
The Toombs County Retired Educators Association will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, October 5, at 10:30 a.m., at tlhe Dr. Mark and Tonya Spivey Library, Vidalia.
Support Group—
The Sweet Onion Autism Support Group will meet on Thursday, October 12, at 6:00 p.m., at 912 Nutrition, 2339 E. First St., Vidalia.

Revival—
Stillmore Missionary Baptist Church will have Revival October 8-11, 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Wednesday. The speaker will be Bo Fulginiti of Cedar Street Baptist Church in Metter.

Reunion—
The Pants Factory of Vidalia Reunion will be held on October 28 at Chatters in Lyons. There will be a lunch buffet from 11:00 a.m. til 2:00 p.m.

Blessing of the Animals—
The Episcopal Church of the Annunciation, Vidalia, will have the Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, October 8, at 4:30 p.m. All animals, along with their owners, are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served for humans and animals.
At 4:00 p.m., a Memorial Service to remember and scatter pet ashes will be held in the St. Frances Memorial Garden.
To support the work SOAPS does in our community, we are collecting pet food (Purina or Pedigree), towels & blankets (gently used), leashes & collars-all sizes, and Tractor Supply or Walmart Gift Cards.
