I used a 15×22 inch pan, but make your board as big or as little as you like. I just wanted to give lots of ideas to use for your own boards. Enjoy!
To make the food:
Melt green candy wafers in a microwave safe bowl stirring every 30 seconds until melted.
Add vegetable oil to thin the wafers if needed. Dip half of the rod in the melted wafers, tap the rod on the side of the bowl to remove excess candy, then lay each dipped rod on a sheet of wax paper. Carefully place a sliced almond at the tip for a witch’s fingernail. Let set, then place on the board.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Roll out crescent rolls, then cut the dough into thin strips. Start at the tip to make a head, then wrap the mummy. Bake on the 3rd middle rack for around 18 minutes. Melt white candy wafers in a microwave safe bowl stirring every 30 seconds until melted. Using a toothpick, add the melted candy to the back of the eyeball sprinkles, then place on the mummies.
When finished, add them to the board. Next, preheat oven and bake the pizza bagel bites according to the package directions. Once they are cooled, add olives to shape like a spider on each bite. Cut a few olive slices in half for the legs. Add the creepy crawly pizza bagels to the board.
Once everything is baked, you can work on the fruit and vegetables. Cut the stems of the strawberries, then roll out the white fondant. Using a small knife, cut triangles for the teeth. Using a toothpick and the white melted wafers, add an eyeball to each strawberry, then carefully add the teeth and place your vampire strawberries on the board. Fill the celery sticks with peanut butter, then add festive sprinkles.
For the apple monsters, add peanut butter to the middle of 2 sliced apples. Cut the miniature marshmallows in half, then add a row for teeth. Melt the white candy wafers and add an eyeball sprinkle on the top apple slice to make a monster, then add to the board. To finish the board off, add the guacamole dip to a bowl and top with Halloween sprinkles. Add the blue corn chips next to the dip. Fill in any spaces with the candy corn, candy pumpkins, gummy worms, Riece’s Pieces, ghost peeps, cheese puffs, carrot chips and cheese cubes.
Add Halloween decorations if desired. Serve immediately and watch the kid’s eyes light up!!
