PLANTING SEEDLINGS – At Toombs County High School, Chasity Knight’s Forestry Class took advantage of the warmer weather last week and planted Pond Pine Seedlings behind the school. Students have been learning about reforestation, taking notes and watching videos on how to start and maintain a healthy pine stand. CADILLAC DRIVE RESCUE – Several local first responders and emergency agencies worked together to rescue and evacuate residents within the Cadillac Drive neighborhood in Vidalia.

HEAVY TURNOUT - Wheeler County Superintendent of Elections Karen Mercer looks over paperwork at her office in Alamo. Wheeler County turned out in force to support Donald J. Trump’s bid to return to the White House. This year’s voting was just 11 votes shy of the 2020 presidential election turnout which was conducted during the COVID-19 epidemic and heavy on absentee ballots.
GIVING THANKS – The Toombs County School System decorated a vehicle full of gift bags to give out to parents picking up their children in the car rider lines at each school during the month of November.
