TCHS Soccer Kicks Off Season
On Tuesday of last week, the Toombs County High School Bulldog soccer teams opened up the regular season with matches on the road at Jeff Davis. Toombs then hosted Bacon County on Friday with both teams winning easily over the Red Raiders. vs. JD
The girls dropped their match, 3-1. Emerson Powell had the lone goal for the dogs. In the boys match, Angel Morales scored a 1st half goal, and Osvaldo Tinoco notched a 2nd half goal as the bulldogs were able to secure a 2-1 win. vs. Bacon
The Lady Bulldogs rolled to an 8-0 win over Bacon with five different girls scoring for Toombs. Emma Wright led the way with 3 goals. Emerson Powell, Aniston Powell, Estrella Barbosa, and Maritza Zamorano each scored 1 goal in the game for the Lady Bulldogs.
The boys also made quick work of Bacon as they scored 5 goals in the first half and one more in the second half. Bacon had just one goal that they scored in the second half of the game.
TCHS had 2 goals from Yovanny Zamorano, and 1 each from Braylen Dietrich, Morales, Tinoco, and Miguel Granados.
This week Toombs was at Tattnall County on Tuesday after presstime. They will be back in action on Friday at Windsor Forest with starting at 5:00 p.m.
