TCHS Tennis Wins Over Claxton

Toombs County High School tennis’s last home match was played against Claxton High School, and it was the closest match they have had all season.
Girls
The girls' team had an extremely close match but fell short 2-3. Toombs 1st doubles team, Scarlett Stanley and Melea Pittman, beat their opponents by a long shot. The 2nd doubles team, Ella Kate Adams and Katie Lee Brodnax, went into a tiebreaker and brought home the final win that day for the girls. Giana Hamlin was up against Claxton’s best player, and she came very close to winning her match.
Boys
The boys' team won by winning 3 of the 4 matches. Phoenix Polke (2nd singles), Hayden Ford (3rd singles), and Will Featherston and Mario Rojas-Perez (1st doubles) beat their opponents and brought the team their 1st victory of the season.
