Indian Soccer Has Good Week
The Vidalia High School soccer teams took on Savannah Arts on Tuesday of last week at home and then traveled to play Windsor Forest on Friday in Savannah. The Lady Indians split their games with the boys winning both contests.
Girls vs. Savannah
It was a tough game for the Lady Indians against the Lady Panthers of Savannah Arts. Savannah out matched VHS as they scored seven goals in the first half of the game and then three more in the second half to win the game by the mercy rule.
Vidalia was not able to score in the game as they lost 10-0.
Boys vs. Savannah
The VHS boys played a close game against the Panthers and came away with a 1-point win. VHS downed the Panthers 5-4.
Girls vs. Windsor
The Lady Indians got two first half goals to take a 2-0 lead into halftime against Windsor Forest on Friday. They added a goal in the second half of the game, with Windsor also scoring one in the second half.
That gave VHS the win, 3-1.
Boys vs. Windsor
The Indians picked up a close win over the Knights of Windsor Forest on the road on Friday. VHS came out on top 1- 0.
This week VHS played Tattnall County on Tuesday after presstime. They will be back in action on Thursday at home against Brantley County starting at 5:00 p.m.
