Vidalia High School (VHS) Student Jordan Dasher represented both her school and the school’s HOSA future health professionals club at the organization’s international conference in Houston, Texas, on June 26-29.

Dasher traveled to Houston for the event with her mother Carla Felder, and was able to attend several workshops and sessions, earning her recognition within the conference. One workshop she attended was hosted by actor Steve Rogen, his wife, and other actors, who all spoke to the audience on brain health. These sort of informative discussions helped to expand Dasher’s knowledge and allow her to learn more about various aspects of healthcare.

The student was able to attend this event after qualifying for the international conference at the state conference through the HOSA Happenings competition. In this competition, Dasher had to present information about her chapter’s activities.

“We are bursting with pride for Jordan, who was not only recognized in Houston at International Leadership Conference for her accomplishments but also brought honor to our VHS HOSA community,” said VHS HOSA Sponsor Shellie Cleghorn. “Her achievement is a testament to the dedication and excellence that we strive for in our organization.”

Cleghorn, Dasher, and fellow HOSA Sponsor Blake Brooks also shared their gratitude to Chapman Pharmacy, Vidalia Rotary Club, Memorial Health Meadows Hospital, and Georgia HOSA for making this opportunity possible.
