One Injured in Wreck on Bells Ferry Road

One man was injured in a single-vehicle wreck on Bells Ferry Road near Tillman Bluff Road in Wheeler County on Thursday, July 18.

Emergency crews responded to the scene at approximately 3:30 p.m. to discover that a vehicle had left the road and collided with a tree, pinning the victim inside. The victim, whose identity was not available, was extricated from the wreckage and airlifted to a medical facility. The victim was the only occupant of the vehicle.

In addition to Wheeler County emergency personnel, Georgia State Patrol, and a crew from Montgomery State Prison responded to the wreck. The GSP is continuing to investigate.
