Lady Vikings Fall To Telfair

The Lady Vikings softball team of Treutlen County High School took on Telfair County last week and lost a tough one as the Lady Trojans came back to take the win.

In the bottom of the second inning Treutlen took the lead with three runs. Ella Roberson doubled in a run and then came in to score on a sacrifice fly. Kenley Kight picked up an RBI single to make it, 3-0, Treutlen.

But Telfair came back with two runs in the top of the third inning and then four more in the fourth as they took a 6-3 lead over the Lady Vikings. Treutlen managed to add one more run in the fifth inning, but that was all they could muster as they fell, 6-4, to the Trojans.

This week Treutlen took on Tattnall County and Montgomery County after press time. They won't be back in action until next week.
