Meadows Hospital to Host Pregnancy and Infant Loss Candlelight Event
Memorial Health Meadows Hospital will host its annual Pregnancy and Infant Loss Candlelight Event on Thursday, October 17, at 6:30 p.m. on the front lawn of the hospital. The event will be held in observance of National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, a time dedicated to remembering babies lost to miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss.
This special candlelight gathering provides a space for families and community members to honor and remember the babies who are no longer with us. Participants are invited to light candles as a symbol of remembrance and solidarity for families who have experienced loss.
“Our goal is to create a safe and compassionate environment where families can come together to acknowledge their grief and remember their babies,” said Kris Cuthair, Chief Nursing Officer at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital. “The candlelight event is a meaningful way to honor their memories and offer support to those who are grieving. We want families to know that they are not alone, and we are here for them.”
All members of the community are invited to attend and participate in this heartfelt evening of reflection and remembrance. Memorial Health Meadows Hospital encourages those attending to arrive by 6:15 p.m. to allow time for gathering and candle distribution.
