Toombs County High School Grad Rate Continues to Soar Above State Average

Toombs County High School is continuing to soar above average schools within the state, as the school has announced its 2024 graduation rate of 94.6%.
Georgia's high school graduation rate improved to an all-time high of 85.4% for the graduating class of 2024 – an increase of 1% from last year’s rate. Toombs County High School is among the standouts in the state, with a graduation rate of 94.6%, which highlights the effectiveness of the school's educational programs, student support services, and extracurricular activities. With a focus on academic excellence and personal development, Toombs County High School is providing students with the tools and guidance necessary to succeed in life beyond high school.
Toombs County High School Principal Marissa Morris reacted to the graduation rate results, stating, “I am immensely proud of Toombs County High School's Class of 2024 four-year cohort graduation rate of 94.6%. This achievement is a direct reflection of and testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment demonstrated by our students, our staff members in our entire school system, our families, and our community as well as the continuous support from our system level and our Board of Education members. Toombs County High School not only exceeded the state average for Georgia of 85.4%, but we are also among the districts across the state that has achieved graduation rates above 90%. This is the 6th year in a row TCHS has achieved a graduation rate above 90%.”
