TCHS Volleyball Over Vidalia

The Toombs County High School Lady Bulldogs volleyball team showcased their resilience and skill on Tuesday night, securing a hard-fought 3-set victory over rival Vidalia High School. The win improves their overall record to 4-10 and, more importantly, boosts their region standing to an impressive 4-3.

The match was a rollercoaster of emotions, with Toombs County dropping the first set 13-25 before rallying back to dominate the second set 25-15. The Lady NetDawgs sealed their comeback in a nail-biting third set, emerging victorious with a 15-11 win.

Several players stepped up with standout performances. Senior Arianna Hill led the offensive charge with 5 kills, while also contributing 3 service points on 3 aces and adding a dig to her stat line. Madison Brown was a force from the service line, racking up 7 service points including an ace, and making her presence felt at the net with a crucial block.

Emma Wright proved to be a versatile asset for the team, notching 6 service points, 2 aces, and 3 assists. Alivia Patrick also made her mark on the match with 2 key kills.

Unfortunately, the scheduled match against McIntosh County Academy had to be postponed due to an injury to a McIntosh player. The teams are working to reschedule this important region matchup.

This week the TCHS team hosted Bryan County on Monday and traveled to Brantley County on Tuesday, both after presstime. They will be back in action on Thursday where they will travel to Savannah High to take on Savannah and Vidalia.
