Eagles Fall To Taylor Co.

It was a tough night in Butler for the Eagles of Montgomery County High School last Friday night as they took on the Vikings of Taylor County. MCHS struggled to get the offense going as they fell to Taylor, 33-6.

Taylor was already up on the Eagles 8-0 when they connected on a 95–yard pass for a touchdown as they increased their lead to 14-0. Taylor added a safety later in the first half to push the lead to 16-0, and were up 22-0 on the Eagles before the end of the first half.

In the second half they had pushed the lead to 29-0 before adding another touchdown to make it 33-0.

MCHS did get a touchdown late in the game, but the Eagles fell to Taylor, 33-6. The touchdown came on a short run by Jayden Harris.

MCHS rushed for only 20 yards in the game, but they did throw for 83 yards.

This week the Eagles will host Telfair County on Friday at 7:30 p.m. It will be Homecoming for MCHS, and they will have their crowning festivities before the game.
