BPC Basketball Falls To Lindsey Wilson

In a challenging nonconference basketball clash on November 9, the Brewton-Parker College Barons faced off against the Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders at Powell Gym. The much-anticipated game concluded with the Barons succumbing to a tough 92-77 loss, moving their season record to 2- 2.

The game started competitively, with Brewton- Parker initially keeping pace, but by halftime, they trailed behind 4050. Despite a high-energy performance in the second half, the Barons couldn't close the gap against the strong offense of the Blue Raiders. Lindsey Wilson's effective strategic play ultimately sealed their victory.

Dre Burroughs led the scoring for Brewton-Parker with a remarkable 31 points, accompanied by 3 rebounds, 2 steals, and 6 assists, showcasing his all-round prowess on the court. Other notable contributors included Jaden Rogers and Tommy J Tisdale III, each adding 11 points to the team's tally. Ferlin Joseph Jr. also made significant contributions with 10 points and 9 rebounds.

The defeat was a hard pill to swallow for the Barons, but the team looks set to regroup and focus on their upcoming game. They will next face Paine College on November 12, 2024, at Gillis Gymnasium, where they aim to get back on the winning track.
