Responsive Technology Partners and Pineland Telephone Cooperative recently donated their prize money from the Altama Museum of Art & History Lip Sync Battle to the Boys and Girls Club of Toombs County.
The Altama Museum held the first ever Lip Sync Battle fundraiser on September 19, as community members came together to perform in hopes of winning bragging rights and the Golden Hairbrush.
Responsive Technology Partners and Pineland Telephone Cooperative joined forces in the competition as “The Secure Connections,” as John Gilliams, Leon Pounds, Casey Yarbrough, and Steven McComas performed the classic hit “Jessie’s Girl” by Rick Springfield. The performance was a favorite among attendees, earning it the title of People’s Choice Champion, and winning 10% of the total money raised to their charity choice, the Boys and Girls Club of Toombs County.
Before presenting a check to the Club’s administrators, employees of the companies toured the Club’s Vidalia facility, which allowed them to learn more about what the organization does and how it serves the community.
Club employees thanked the companies for their generous donation, emphasizing that they depend on community partnerships and support to be able to thrive as a positive organization for kids.
