Girls vs. Bleckley
The Lady Indians dropped their first game of the week as they took on the Lady Royals in Cochran on Saturday. Vidalia held the early lead, 13-7 at the end of the first quarter, but Bleckley came storming back in the second to hold a 2218 lead at the half.
In the third quarter, the Lady Royals extended their lead to 41-34. Bleckley went on to win the game, 57-40, as they pulled away in the final quarter.
Boys vs. Bleckley
Both teams got off to a slow start in this game as the game was tied, 5-5, at the end of the first quarter. In the second, the Indians began to find their rhythm as they took a 16-11 lead into halftime.
In the third quarter, Bleckley closed the lead to 26-23, but in the fourth, the Indians blew the game open as they outscored Bleckley, 21-2, on the way to a 47-25 win.
This week the Indians will host the Paul Thigpen Christmas Classic. The Lady Indians will play Coffee County on Thursday at 8:30 p.m., Statesboro on Friday at 7:00 p.m., and Burke County on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. The VHS boys will play Coffee County on Thursday at 6:00 p.m., Wayne County on Friday at 8:30 p.m., and Bryan County on Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
