TCHS Runs Well At Montgomery Quad
The Toombs County High School track & tield teams had a strong showing at the Montgomery County Quad #1 meet, bringing home numerous top finishes and personal bests.
Girls
Top finishers for the Lady Bulldogs were Taylor Bland who was 1st in the 300m hurdles and 2nd in the 100m hurdles, McKenna Gardisser took 1st in the 400m dash, and Brinley Miller was 1st in the 1,600m.
Shaylin stringer finished 2nd in both the shot put and discus, shania brown was 2nd in the long jump, and Dashanti Bodie took 2nd in the 100m dash. And Karah marsh finished 3rd in both the shot put and discus.
Boys
Top finishers for the Bulldogs were Mike Polke who came in 1st in the long jump 1st in the 100m dash and 2nd in the triple jump, Gavin fletcher with 1st in both the shot put and high jump, Moses Young took 1st in the 1,600m run and was 2nd in the 400m run, Hayden Roy came in 1st in the 200m dash, and Brandon Stevens was 1st in the 110m hurdles.
Also placing well were Jayden Green who was 2nd in the long jump with a new PR, Hayden Bullard was 2nd in the shot put, Kobe Cutler was 2nd in the discus, Don Mincey took 2nd in the 100m dash, and Alex Scott finished 2nd in the 200m dash.
In the relays, the girls' 4x100m team of Shania Brown, Taylor Bland, Dashanti Bodie, and McKenna Gardisser came in 1st place. The boys' 4x100m team of Don Mincey, Gavin Fletcher, Mike Polke, and Alex Scott finished in first place, the boys' 4x200m team of Landon Gaffney, Jayden Green, Brandon Stevens, and Dion Moore came in 1st place, and the boys' 4x800m team of Moses Young, Lukas Young, Chase Becker, and Cole Russell took 1st place with a new PR.
The Track Dawgs will be back in action this Friday, March 21, at Vidalia High School.
